Mrs. S.A. Singh
Reminisces of 7th May 2016 still linger in my mind. I stood in the college auditorium taking an oath as the Bradbury House Captain. Being the House Captain has been an incredible feat that has only amplified my obligation towards All’C.
In all these years the accomplishment of the Blues have been highly commendable and we hope to endeavour to live up to our motto. Even after event, competition after competition. Dear Blues you have elevated frome one stage to another without doubt. It all commenced with hope and great enthusiasm as we started with the first round of Elocution which went off successfully. The Girls put in their best and practiced day in and day out to achieve perfection and precision. In the Inter House Middle School English Elocution we stood Second. Minakshi Pandey was crowned the Second position, Jyoti Kumari participated in the Inter House Hindi Elocution where our House stood Second yet again.
As I held the flag in my hand. A contingent of 62 enthusiastic Blues, well up in spirit marched in array with heads held high. We were not fortunate enough to hold the First position. Since greatest test of courage on earth is to bear defeat without losing heart, we Blues weren’t disheartened and it only made us determined to work arduously for next year.
Next in line was Independence Day. Our girls sang melodiously and were awarded First Position.
Aquatic Meet seemed the luckiest day for us. After span of 10 years The Blues became proud recipients of ‘The Aquatic Shield’. Every one performed miraculously and we finally proved our abilities to one and all that were the Best. “The Aquatic Shield belongs to us”. The shining stars were Pragati Bharti, Naaz Gava, Diksha Bansal, Sonal Kumar, Avni Tripathi, Shruti Kathuria, Tanvi Mehta, Anjani Pugla, Aditi Bharti, Jasmine Chabra and Noor Gava. With mighty indomitable spirit, and greater ambition to fulfill our motto emblemized in mind, blues proved their tact in the following events where we stood Third in the Inter-House Declamation, where Raksha Kapil was awarded the Third position and Jyoti Kumari too in her category, Stood Third.
In the realm of Sports, the Blues were submitted to both victories and pitfalls throughout the year. Every drop of sweat during the practices contributed to attaining the 2nd position in the Inter-house Volleyball matches, First position in the chess matches. 2nd position in the basketball matches and 4th position in the Football matches.
Next on the calendar was the much awaited Athletic Meet. We did remarkably well in all the races and events. Al the athletes were extremely good and won laurels for the House. Simran Dhillon who has been as asset for the house for the past five years was declared the ‘Athlete of the Meet’. Jaspriya Chadha was awarded the Best Athlete for the ‘C’ Division and Ishmeet K. Bal for the ‘D’ Division received the Dua Special. Shivantika, Tarashpreet, Gagandeep, Kiara, Simran, Shivangi, Tenzin, Pari Anusha, Pragati and Sanskriti and all the integrators – How would have anything shaped up so well without your constant backing? Thank you for being extremely supportive and helping when trying times arose. I would also like to thank class 11 and above all my House Mistress, Miss S.A. Singh, who has thoroughly supported me and stood by us through most difficult times of challenges to be faced in school and for the outside world which awaits us. A special thanks to Shreya, who has been my guiding light throughout.
My term as your House Captain has come to an End. Hence, there is something I want to ask you for….Always keep the Bradbury House flag soaring high! Courage is Destiny!
All the best Blues for all the years to come.
